Rochester - Sister Constance Mary Clark, who was both a teacher and a nurse during her 65 years as a Sister of St. Joseph, died July 18, 2025. She was 96 years old.

Sister Clark entered the congregation in 1960 from her home parish of St. Francis Xavier, Rochester. She earned a bachelor's degree in education in 1960 and a bachelor's degree in history in 1967 from Nazareth College. She later attended Isabella Graham Hart School of Nursing and became a licensed practical nurse in 1974.

She began teaching at St. Augustine, Rochester, in 1952. She also taught at St. Alphonsus, Auburn; St. Francis de Sales, Geneva; St. John the Evangelist, Greece; and St. Monica, Rochester.

After becoming an LPN in 1974, Sister Clark was assigned to St. Ann's Home in Rochester, where she cared for the elderly for 25 years. In an effort to improve her skills, she took courses in gerontology at St. John Fisher College from 1984-88. She also earned membership in the National Association of Practical Nurses.

Sister Clark is survived by her sister, brother, sister-in-law, nieces, nephew and her sisters in the congregation.

Her funeral liturgy was celebrated at the motherhouse chapel July 25, 2025, with burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
