Print GuestbookTom and I often sat with Father at RFD's Christmas Party with the retiries and some events with the Protectives. He didn't do a lot of talking. I think he just liked to see the people and enjoy the atmosphere. Like a lot of things in the fire service today, it is getting harder to find people with the passion for service like Father's generation. We pray Father has a holy retirement in Heaven.

I served as an alter boy for several years for Father Bradler. I remember being pulled from class to serve funerals and masses, weddings on the weekends and always being chosen for the big Easter and Christmas masses. I remember the looks my buddy Joe and I would get from Father Bradler when we would start to giggle at the most inopportune moments. I also remember the anxiety and struggle of trying to get the coal puck lit for the incense in time. Through it all Father Bradler was very kind and supportive and I was honored to serve for him. I remember his smile and sense of humor the most.

When Father was at Holy Rosary in 1973 he married my husband and I met him again at St Ann’s. Rest in peace Father

Met Fr. Bradley when he was at St. James and I had begun singing in a small folk contemporary choir at St. James begun by my friend Patricia McKenzie. I remember particularly well Fr. Bradler’s involvement with the Fire Department when he shared with the congregation one Sunday morning of the loss to fire of one of St James’s devoted congregants when her home had erupted in flames. As Fire Department chaplain he had attended to the support of the fire fighters working that fire and so was there to give rites to our fellow parishioner.

I enjoyed working with Fr. Bradler as our neighbor at the Diocesan office. He was always supportive of our Catholic schools. He was born to be a priest. I remember him telling a story once about playing "Communion" as a little boy using Necco wafers. He knew he had a vocation at a young age and lived it to the fullest. Rest in peace, Father.

I remember when he came to Holy Family church. I told him my Mom was a good cook and i invited him over for breakfast. He came - much to my mother’s surprise.
He was the priest who helped me get my Marian Medal in Girl Scouts. I will never forget his gentle demeanor and guidance.
My Dad saw him frequently as he was a Captain in the Rochester Fire Department. Father Bradler was always there for the firefighters.
Father Bradler was a wonderful priest and a remarkable human being.

Fr Bradler loved people- whether at his former churches, the Irondequoit public market or the Corn Hill Arts Festival- he just wanted to serve the people. RIP Fr Bradler- glad you are reunited with your sister and can move around freely again! You will be dearly missed by many.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
